These four events are bringing with them dozens of world premieres that are expected to dominate Oscar season, from Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” to Jane Campion’s “Power of the Dog,” Joel Coen’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth,” and Pablo Larrain’s “Spencer,” among other titles. “Nomadland” winning Best Picture is still fresh in the minds of many cinephiles, but a brand new Oscar season is about to begin with major fall festivals Venice, Telluride, Toronto, and New York.
